Music that gives people goosebumps

Orchestral scores for film, trailers and long-form work.

Melody is the whole point

The scores that stay with people are the ones with a theme you can still hum walking out of the cinema. Pads and textures are tools, not the music — used on their own, characters don't land as hard as they should.

So every project starts with a written theme, then gets orchestrated around it. More on that in melody first, or hear it working in the case studies.

Wow. Almost speechless. Josh is just wow. Got everything done that exceeded my expectations and got it done extremely quickly (what felt like 2-3 days because of the constant updates). Will definitely be coming back for more in the future! :)

Questions, answered

What directors ask before we start.

How much does a score cost?+

Indie films start at £150, short film scores from £400, and features or larger complex projects from £900. Every project gets a fixed written quote once we've talked through runtime, cue count and deadline — no hourly surprises.

How quickly can you turn a score around?+

Indie films (up to 10 minutes) are delivered within 14 days, short films of 12–30 minutes within 28 days, and features typically take 1.5 to 3 months. If your deadline is tighter, tell me and I'll say honestly whether it's possible.

Do you use real players or samples?+

Samples — but not the kind you're imagining. I write with over £4,000 of industry-standard sample libraries and equipment: the same tools used by award-winning composers such as Rupert Gregson-Williams (Hacksaw Ridge). Every line is performed and shaped by hand, so the result sounds cinematic rather than programmed.

How many revisions are included?+

Two full revisions on every package — a revision being a genuine rewrite or change of direction for a cue. Small tweaks (levels, timing, an instrument swap, a nudge against a re-cut) are unlimited and always free. I'd rather get it right than get it signed off.

Who owns the music when it's finished?+

You get a perpetual licence to use the score in your film across all media. I keep the underlying copyright and publishing, which is standard practice — full buyouts are available and quoted separately.
